Support & Guarantee
A product is only as good as the guarantee it offers. Grail Africa understands insurance demands and guarantees the following:
In addition to our excellent support service we guarantee the following:
* A working system for an Underwriting Agency within a period of 3 weeks of receiving policy schedules. This includes full customisation to meet the specific needs of each client. The capabilities are the same as for the current systems in place. The System functionality can best be appreciated in a demonstration or a live environment. For your benefit we will touch on the most significant aspects:
* A fully-fleged underwriting administration system, ie policy issue, premium summaries, policy schedules and computation sheets. In addition, auto-rating is available upon request and auto pro-ratas are standard, regardless of frequency of policy. Full history is always kept in respect of any endorsements, deletions, additions, etc. Full policy query functionality and printing of such queries are supported.
* Full REINSURANCE if required, including proportional, non-proportional, Facultative, XOL, Treaty and the like.
* Quotes are loaded in exactly similar fashion to the policy. Upon acceptance, one simply activate the quote for it to become a policy.
* The feedback one generally get from users is ease of use of system.
* Integration between policies, sections and details are seamless, thus requiring minimal training (loading one policy in front of an underwriter, and then allowing the underwriter to load the next policy themselves usually suffice).
* A claim must be lodged on the Section level of a policy. After registering a claim, claims are grouped and can be accessed by various categories, ranging from all claims to pending / repudiated or finalised. Full claims query functionality and printing of such queries are supported.
* Standard are estimates, estimate adjustments and payments for various different payment types. Any wrong entries i.r.o. payments have to be journalised with a reason.
* Premiums are automatically raised by month end or upon request and specific information is kept on each detailed transaction, the sum of this to Section level and the sum of this to Policy level. Premiums are only received on policy level as any endorsements will automatically reverse/add the necessary premiums as required. Any incorrect entries have to be journalised with a reason.
* The outstanding amounts on debit order policies can be collected via ACB (Automatic Collection Bureau). All outstanding balances on all policies can also be viewed at any time.
* Full Commission statements are available. This takes the form of a Commission Statement run once a month, usually around the 15th. Bordereauxs can be produced as at any date, even in the past. This will show the approriate analysis by age.
* The Grail System includes a Standard Reportwriter. At the last count there were 10 Accounting Reports, 18 Management Reports, 6 Reports for Brokers (including Insurer’s Bordereauxs, 10 Claims Reports, 10 Other Reports and 16 Reinsurance Reports. All these reports can be configured by the end user to give endless different information.
* Loss Ratios can be created for any period in almost any way imaginable, ie by policy, branch, section, insurer, broker, policy-section, etc. Loss ratios are also available on Gross written premium or Earned premium basis and can be printed from the system. An Excel spreadsheet containing a detailed breakdown of all underwriting sections available in the administration system, is freely made available to Underwriters. This spreadsheet can be distributed to brokers and agents, thus enabling standardised new business / renewal submissions, etc.
* The Create Loss Ratios routine also creates Management information. This EIS reports are downloaded to a text file which can easily be imported from any other system or simply be opened in Excel. The standard Grail Management Executive Information System reports are as follows:
Report A: User activity and productivity analysis.
Reports B-F: Results showing the movements and totals in Claims, Gross Premiums and Unearned Premiums split by Branch and Section.
Reports G-J: Results showing the movements in Claims, Gross Premiums and Unearned Premiums split by Underwriting Year, Branch and Section. (click on EIS for detailed reports)
Report K: Triangulations - Standard letters have been added to Underwriting/Accounting/Claims functions, thus enabling users to simply select approriate letter, modify if need be, and print. Huge productivity gains have been experienced since this addition to the system. An audit trail has been fully integrated into the underwriting procedures, claims transactions and premium/accounting functions. Various triangulation reports comparing the premiums being paid and claims incurred to the gross written and earned premiums respectively.
